This agent must have amazing customer service skills and a drive to succeed to help clients achieve their financial goals. You’ll serve on the front lines of insurance sales, helping new customers navigate to achieve and protect their goals! Life Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, Disability Insurance, Retirement Solutions, and more. You are advancing your practice for yourself but now alone! The fundamental foundation of a New York Life Insurance Agent’s role is built client by client. The Agent is uniquely qualified with answers to help their clients achieve their financial goals and plan for the unexpected. Adding up to a rewarding career with a company that considers, doing right by their customers is simply part of who we are… “Be Good At Life.” Responsibilities: • Determine new customers’ insurance needs, desires, insurance risk, prior coverage, and financial standing via booked consultations to ensure the best client experience possible • Address existing and prospective customer requests in a prompt and friendly matter, including booking new meetings and responding to inquiries regarding billing, eligibility, coverage, claims, and insurance policies • Develop a prospective customer base and advertise our insurance products through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other marketing strategies to secure new business • Process current policyholders’ insurance claims while monitoring the status of existing insurance claims • Manage electronic and paper records and ensure all contracting paperwork is kept current What is expected of our Agents? • Provide warm and professional customer service while onboarding new clients and maintaining existing clients • Grow your practice for yourself Not by yourself • Add solutions to address the client's needs, long-term care, disability, and income solutions • Understand the needs and financial concerns of clients • Educate clients on how to plan ahead for the future financially so that they are prepared for unfortunate life events/ circumstances they may encounter • Promote customized ways for clients to achieve their long-term financial goals • Cultivating relationships, with a view to helping every family member or individual pursue financial security • Ability to build an insurance and financial practice through establishing professional networks and prospecting for new clients • Providing compassion and guidance to clients when unfortunate life circumstances arise • Having a clear focus on developing and maintaining long-term bonds with clients, resulting in trust and continuity of community over time Qualifications: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required • Client service experience as a sales representative a plus • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products • Candidates with an active Life & Health insurance license are strongly preferred • Sales experience preferred – enterprising mindset, no mile too far • Strong communication skills both written and verbal • Desire to help families and businesses to “Be Good At Life” • Strong business acumen • Professional business demeanor • Perseverance in the face of a challenge • Ability to engage your community and leverage personal networks/contacts Compensation: $100,000+ commission at plan
