  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    TEAM MANAGEMENT

    • Work with the Academy Director to Create and evolve U15 Academy Annual Performance Plan that includes the Technical, Tactical & Physical periodization for the U15 Academy.
    • Plan and prepare for all training sessions and matches.
    • Select the U15 Academy team for each game following informal conversations with the Academy Director to ensure alignment.
    • Ensure all U15 Academy players are informed of details regarding training sessions, matches and their general working programming and that they act in a manner befitting the Club Player Code of Conduct.
    • Contribute to discussions led by the Scouting Department and Academy Director as it pertains to players being retained or released at the end of the season or when appropriate during the season.

    PLAYER MANAGEMENT

    • Create & implement Individual Development Plans for all players on the U15 Academy roster.
    • Complete progress reports for all U15 Academy players and schedule Individual meetings with all U15 Academy players (one parent must be present) three times per year to review their respective IDP’s and set expectations for the following period.

    ADMINISTRATIVE/REPORTING

    • Create pre-game objectives presentation prior to every game and post on Teamworks for Academy Director to access.
    • Complete post game reports after every game including video clips focusing on team & player performances and post on Teamworks for Academy Director to access.
    • Participate in weekly Academy Administrative & Operational Meetings.
    • Communicate with Academy Director any important information regarding their work (e.g. late arrivals, information on players).

    STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT

    • Work alongside the Recruitment team to review and report on the performances of potential targets for consideration for the Academy.
    • Consistent philosophies in keeping with examples of best practice with RB Group
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    USSF “A” Youth License or UEFA equivalent

    A minimum of 5 Years experience in the elite sports setting

    Evidence of player development from youth to USL and/or the MLS level

    Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team in a professional sporting environment

    An understanding of working in the soccer environment

    Experience of developing and implementing innovative ideas and putting them into practice

    Additional Information
