Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to join our team. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for accurately maintaining inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely replenishment of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
Conduct regular inventory counts to reconcile physical stock with system records.
Assist in the organization and optimization of warehouse space.
Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory management.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate inventory movements and fulfill orders.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
Assist in the implementation of inventory control measures to minimize loss and maximize efficiency.
Participate in the movement and put-away of material after it is received.
Collaborating with team members and departments to maintain workflow efficiency.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work environment.
Adhering to company policies and regulations related to stock handling and safety.
Communicating effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and leads to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
Participating in training programs to enhance job skills and knowledge.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferably prior experience in inventory management or related field
Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work well independently and in a team.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Basic mathematical skills
Commitment to safety practices and procedures
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Capability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Proficiency in operating material handling equipment safely.
