    Job Description

    A leading contract manufacturer of dietary supplements in tablet, capsule and powder forms.

     

    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The primary responsibility for this role is to process quotation request, to obtain final pricing on finish goods. The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for learning company policies and procedures. The position will also be charged with conducting regular price comparisons to ensure that the company is always getting the best price for each product that is purchased.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Present prepared quotes by assembling estimates for raw materials, packaging components and services.

    • Maintain and update vendor database and contact information.

    • Compare and evaluate goods and contracts to recommend strategies.

    • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

    • Communicate effectively with all departments regarding any pertinent information.

    • Any additional tasks assigned or delineated.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • High School Diploma minimum preferred some college.

    • A. A. degree preferred.

    • Excellent communication skills.

    • Able to create and administer a task priority list based on company needs.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
