LOAN SERVICING SPECIALIST

NEWITY is America's Small Business Marketplace, focused on empowering entrepreneurs with access to trusted service providers and loan solutions. We are looking for a Loan Servicing Specialist to join our Operations team.

In this role, you will act as an effective liaison between members and the Company’s internal departments. The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for ensuring loan obligations are being met in a timely manner, demonstrating empathy, and resolving problems swiftly. You will provide expert care while maintaining a positive attitude toward customers to foster positive experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Loan servicing and operations experience is a must
• Demonstrated patience and empathy when managing difficult conversations
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle a wide range of situations over the phone and email with tact and diplomacy
• Effective time management and self-accountability
• Able to multi-task under time pressure
• Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take on challenges
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
• Comfortable working and learning independently
• Excel proficiency is a plus

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop an in depth understanding of loan products and terms
• Help borrowers navigate technology and payment process
• Collect payments on past-due loans
• Responsible for minimizing credit risk for the business
• Work with borrowers to understand the reasons for delinquencies and partner with them to plan a path forward
• Provide borrowers with clear & concise responses to questions regarding their loans
• Assist in generating delinquency letters & notifications
• Field calls related to making past due payments or other loan servicing questions
• Assist the Operations team with ad hoc reporting and projects as needed
