Full time Legal Assistant for Litigation Firm

Trust and Probate Litigation in Newport Beach/Irvine area seeks an experienced litigation full-time legal assistant. Our firm's goals are to maintain a collaborative, respectful and easygoing atmosphere.
To be successful in this role, you are knowledgeable about: State court filing,e-filing; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Adobe Acrobat; and Essential Forms.
Some of the duties include:
Court filings: Preparation (bookmarking and OCR);create and distribute both filed and service copies.
Assist in preparing/editing various, filing and service of pleadings such as petitions, motions, notice of hearings;
Discovery: Prepare/revise deposition subpoenas, notice to consumers; and organize production;
Trial: Assembly of exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings;
Draft correspondence to counsel, clients and vendors on a variety of areas;
Calendaring hearings, depositions, deadlines and maintaining the attorney’s calendar;
-File Management: creating new files, filing and closing (some heavy lifting, must be able to lift 25 lbs);
Heavy transcription;
Process incoming mail and scanning to the files.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Excellent time management skills, multi-tasking skills, organization, communication and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, and being self-directed are ideal candidate qualifications.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Experience: 4+ years of litigation experience.
Skills: Electronic filing (state court required); Calendaring; Organization Skills; Detail-Oriented; Proofreading; Multi-Tasking; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Adobe Acrobat; and Essential Forms
