Description:
About Our Family:
We are a loving, active family looking for an exceptional caregiver to join our team as our family grows! We currently have two wonderful, energetic boys (ages 3 years and 15 months), and we are expecting our third child in late February 2027.
While our boys can initially be a bit shy around new people, they are deeply affectionate, happy, and thrive in an environment filled with outdoor adventures. We follow a reasonably structured daily routine around meals and naps, balanced with plenty of engaging free play and structured activities. We maintain a strict low-to-no screen time policy.
Role & Responsibilities:
As our nanny, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our children. Your primary duties will include:
Childcare & Enrichment: Planning and leading age-appropriate, engaging activities, crafts, and outdoor play (walks, running around, park visits).
Meal Prep: Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
Household Support: Light housekeeping, including vacuuming, general tidying, and keeping children's spaces organized.
Routine Management: Respecting and maintaining our consistent schedule for naps, meals, and daily transitions.
Schedule & Flexibility:
The mother works on a casual basis as a nurse and has flexibility that allows her to pick up hospital shifts ranging from same-day notice to 1–2 months in advance.
Hours: 15 to 30 hours per week.
Format: We are open to a flexible part-time arrangement or a specialized sitting service model (typically watching the children 2–3 times per week for variable blocks of 4 to 10 hours at a time).
Requirement: True flexibility on a week-to-week basis is essential to accommodate shifting hospital schedules.
What We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities and qualifications:
Experience: Demonstrated professional experience caring for toddlers and newborns/infants.
Personality: Active, upbeat, patient, calm under pressure, and capable of seamlessly prioritizing children's needs.
Character: Honest, timely, loving, respectful, collaborative, and comfortable following detailed direction and timelines.
Health & Lifestyle: Must enjoy being outdoors and active. Must be completely allergy-free to cats (we have 2 friendly Bengal cats in the home).
