    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

    Content & Copywriting

    Write, review, edit, and update content with marketing team for social media, marketing materials, press releases, and similar mediums.

    Conduct research and interviews to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions about home improvement, and then contextualize your findings in clear and simple language.

    Identify & communicate industry trends to pitch and support ideas for upcoming campaigns and focuses.

    Optimize content for specific mediums, track performance & traffic to identify more opportunities.

    Socially Focused Content Creation

    Find additional opportunities within our assets and creative to produce more content across our multi-channel marketing.

    Working in tandem with marketing team to produce, post and manage content for social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest.).

    Work to ensure online content is engaging and accessible to all audiences, including the general public looking for home improvement resources, press and media, and industry partners.

    Assist with concepting and developing engaging content, including participating in content brainstorms for monthly social content, building content calendars, real time and live content creation for organic and paid social, and social copywriting as needed.

    PR & Special Projects

    Identify, sort, and prioritize daily media inquiries and requests.

    Maintain a strong education on competitor & industry news.

    Help maintain media contact databases and systems.

    Partner with Chief Marketing Officer to identify PR opportunities within special community projects (NEWPRO Cares), and for a rapidly growing company.

    Develop and maintain relationships with members of the media and follow changes in staffing among reporters and editors who may be involved with news and features that relate to home improvement & community projects.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, or a related field; or 2-3 years of experience.

    Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to relate to audiences with multiple dimensions of diversity and work collaboratively with peers.

    Experience implementing communications strategies as well as using data to drive content strategies.

    Knowledge of and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software.

    Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a keen attention to detail.

    Proficiency and comfort with technology, particularly social media (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) and development of web content.

    Ability to work independently on tasks and manage recurring project cycles while allowing for flexibility when needed.

    $55,000-$65,000 yearly salary.
