    Job Summary

    Nex Level is looking for an innovative dynamic individual to join a new agency that provides behavioral health and addiction services.     The Clinical Supervisor directs and manages an effective clinical team using applicable principles of Social and/or Counseling which include - patient psychosocial assessment, group, and individual psychotherapy, family intervention, patient/family education and treatment planning. The candidate must have addiction counseling certification in good standing, and or appropriate license.

    Responsibilities

    Provides overall evaluation of program services to enhance patient outcomes and acts as a positive change agent to implement clinical initiatives to increase quality patient care.

    Conducts assessment of each patients psychosocial status and functioning in an effort to document history and identify preliminary items for the treatment plan.

    Facilitates the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized plan of treatment in conjunction with other treatment team members.

    Incorporates the patients psychosocial functioning and strengths in the plan of care.

    Formulates a treatment plan with the client, using knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse risk factors and counseling and treatment techniques.

    Provides and/or arranges for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis situation.

    Follows-up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; make recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery.

    Oversees all referrals of clients to other support services as needed, such as medication evaluation and treatment, social services and employment services.

    Prepares and maintains reports and case histories on clients and program services provided.

    Participates in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures.

    Consults with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate in the performance of the therapeutic and/or casework.

    Attends all staff meetings and team conferences; leads team meetings as required.

    Participated in, leads, and/or coordinates training sessions and workshops to enhance treatment skills.

    Maintain current knowledge base on counseling issues regarding substance abuse and other psychosocial disorders through conferences, educational requirements for licensure, and applicable current literature.

    Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Active Ohio License through the Chemical Dependency Board and the Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Board

    LISW-S; LPCC-S; LICDC-S

    A master's degree with a focus in behavioral health or addiction services or social work or counseling and at least 3 years work experience in the field of addiction services

    Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in social services field

    Positive attitude and open approach to patients, staff and visitors

    Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

    Strong knowledge of addiction, treatment and recovery

    Knowledge of Therasoft is a plus

    Must pass criminal background checks

    Physical Requirements

    Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines and equipment including, but not limited to, computer and printers, fax machine, copier, calculator, and telephone. In most cases, physical demand requirements are standing and walking more than 80%; sitting more than 25%; some lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling of light to moderate weight materials (less than thirty pounds) and occasionally bending/stooping.

    Work Environment

    Must have physical and mental stamina and be able to perform successfully under time-limited pressure. Regular office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Must have the flexibility and willingness to adjust the schedule occasionally in order to accommodate programmatic needs.

    Exposure to Hazards: Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions on a frequent basis with moderate noise. Typical working conditions are found in most administrative work areas. Worker has contact with consumers and other staff and may be exposed to medical conditions presented by them. There is potential for exposure to communicable diseases and/or blood-borne pathogens.
