  • Responsibilities

    IT Applications Engineer with previous experience working with law firms. This person will be primary responsible for technical hands-on expertise in support of the day-to-day information technology operations including application/system developments (both in house and third-party applications), ownership of enterprise applications systems, provide daily 3rd level desktop support & training to help desk, system monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting and security.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Support of internal business applications for the firm (including iManage DMS, enterprise applications, Citrix XenDesktop, Office 2016 & Windows 10 desktop installations).

    • Collaborate with other developers and software architects, including vendors & contractors (when appropriate), to determine optimal solutions.

    • Develop system test plans, ensure software quality assurance standards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished.

    • Draw appropriate resources together in order to address technical issues as well as direct and focus the efforts of the technical project team, which may include internal and vendor resources.

    • Monitor progress of the development and project teams and provide mentoring where appropriate.

    • Handle escalations from the Help Desk team in an efficient and timely manner.

    • Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to co-workers and management.

    • Report project/task status to the Applications/Desktop Manager, Sr. Manager or CIO on a weekly basis (at minimum).

     

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Exceptional knowledge and experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, Windows 10, Active Directory, Group Policies, Print Servers and App-V.

    • Experience with SCCM 2012 R2 and above, Powershell, and strong knowledge of application installation package creation required.

    • Experience in managing implementation projects that utilize Microsoft technologies and with the software development lifecycle, in general.

    • Capable of learning large, complex applications in a short time frame.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and possess creative problem solving skills.

    • Experience in teaching and/or mentoring professionals would be helpful.

    • Legal apps, Microsoft App-V, and strong iManage Document Management experience highly desired.

    • SCCM 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012-2016, SQL, Citrix, iManage Document Management System, Intapp Time, TrendMicro, LAPS, Bitlocker, (MSIX a plus).
