EUC Architect who has a passion for End User Compute and VDI technologies with experience working with customers as an SME. The EUC Architect will design and define system architecture for new or existing environments, utilizing proven virtual desktop infrastructure technologies, server-based compute and unified endpoint management technologies.
Responsibilities:
-Work closely with clients to design and scope advanced technology solutions, covering the entire End User Computing stack
-Participate in client meetings, leading the scoping process to identify and understand the client business requirements and expected outcomes
-Maintain client account relationships over time to build long-term business relationships and become a trusted adviser within each account
-Handle in-depth technical questions or technical inquiries directly or through known relationships with other industry architects or product managers
-Promote and educate internal and client stakeholders on EUC technologies from solutions offered by Citrix, VMware, Microsoft and others
-Provide expert level technical support and assistance around client’s EUC environments
-Demonstrate strong understanding of enterprise mobility solutions for the use of mobile devices, smartphones and tablets for business purposes
-Be active in learning new tools and technologies in support of a very diverse set of customers
-Evangelize and promote VDI/EUC solutions, occasionally being called on to present at industry events or user groups
-Orient all technology solution offerings, designs, and overall recommendations around the business goals and client requirements, keeping in mind short-term tactical and long-term strategic objectives
-Define and ensure the success of customer proof-of-concept requests
Preferred Qualifications:
-Extensive experience with design, build, and deployment of VMware Horizon and/or Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp
-Strong knowledge of Cloud hosting platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
-Strong understanding of Cloud EUC platforms such as VMware Workspace ONE and Citrix Cloud
-Designing and implementing virtual platforms for desktop, applications and server virtualization solutions for extended period of time
-Windows XP/7/10, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016, Active Directory and SQL Server experience
-Significant knowledge around VMware AirWatch and/or Citrix XenMobile enterprise mobility management platforms for simplifying and securing application and data delivery
-Advanced knowledge of EUC monitoring solutions, such as eG Innovations, Control Up, Liquidware, or Lakeside
-Experience with other EUC ecosystem partners, such as Liquidware, Ivanti, and NVIDIA
-Familiar with concepts such as Micro-segmentation and Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI)
-Citrix Certified Professional-Virtualization and/or VMware VCP certification
