    NEXGRILL INDUSTRIES, INC.

    LOCATION: Chino, CA POSITION: Product Quality Assurance Assistant

    Nexgrill is a leading global producer of gas and charcoal grills and grill accessories. We design and market an extensive line of high-quality grills under the Nexgrill, KitchenAid, and Megamaster brands, as well as OEM products for several global retail partners.

    Supporting the Quality Assurance group, the PQA Assistant will create prototypes, and provide documentation support related and required for development and testing of products along with other certification requirements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for assisting the Product Quality engineer to develop and test solutions to solve technical problems in research, development and manufacturing.
    • Assists engineers, inspects products, conduct tests, and collect data.
    • Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation (CSA, UL, CE, ETL, CGA)
    • Collaborate with research and design teams, fully understand testing procedures to comply with 3rd party certification, retailer protocols, and licenser requirements.
    • Evaluate the quotation of CSA testing projects to provide the manager with fee and schedule options.
    • Work with Laboratory to understand requirements for packaging, certification, and assembly, based on test protocols by the customer and/or testing agencies.
    • Coordinate translation and related labeling subjects with agencies.
    • Review/update certification markings.
    • Create solutions to complex technical problems.
    • Perform extensive research and development during the creation phase of the product.
    • Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement.
    • Conduct tests and collect data.
    • Assist in product design, development, and production.
    • Prepare and conduct experiments.
    • Calculate and record results during experiments.
    • Create prototypes of the product.
    • Utilize computer-aided design and drafting equipment during the design phase.
    • Operate and maintain equipment used to test products.
    • Estimate manufacturing costs and specify materials to be used.
    • Propose needs and improvements to QA and RD teams based on continuous knowledge and improvements and requirements of CSA, CE, UL, ISTA, etc.
    • Ensure the qualities of the products align with the standards of the manufacturer.
    • Ensure testing and procedures are understood and carried out properly by China Lab and QA Teams.
    • Monitor, evaluate, and research materials based on competitive analysis in the market.
    • Participate and assist in QA Improvement projects, including design and customer service conditions that can be relayed to appropriate teams.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
    • Experience working with the following regulatory agencies: CSA, UL, CE, ETL, CGA
    • Ability to use Solidworks and AutoCAD.
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of Adobe Programs preferred (Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator).
    • Conversational English speaking and intermediate English writing required.
    • Legal work status in the U.S. required.
