JOB OVERVIEW
The Next Gen Operations Director provides collaborative, day-to-day support for TrailKids and PTSM, helping bring vision to life through systems, planning, and relational project coordination. This role helps move ministry initiatives forward and supports a meaningful, aligned discipleship experience for kids, students, and families.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Operational Systems, Data & Event Metrics
Maintain clear, supportive tools that help staff in their ministry goals—calendars, planning guides, Planning Center, and metrics/data.
Implement user-friendly processes that foster teamwork, reduce confusion, and equip staff and volunteers to lead confidently.
Assist in tracking and evaluating event KPI metrics to help teams celebrate wins and inform them for future events.
Champion the Data Team and Shepherd’s Dashboard to better care for our volunteers and monitor engagement
Support the Next Gen Pastor by keeping a high-level pulse on the health of the teams
Project Management & Vision Implementation
Partner with staff to create and manage planning guides that bring clarity and consistency across departments.
Coordinate timelines and details for ministry-wide projects and events, keeping everyone informed and supported along the way.
Work with the Next Gen Pastor to turn vision into action through simple, scalable systems.
Help maintain success for shared ministry goals and assist in measuring progress along the way.
Support the alignment and implementation of planning and strategy guides across Next Gen ministries
Lead and support key Next Gen workgroups
Budget Oversight & Operational Support
Support ministry leaders in managing budgets ensuring alignment with ministry events and priorities.
Forecast SOPs and partner with the Operations Director to ensure they fit within budget
Walk environments regularly and collaborate with ministries and Operations Team to ensure spaces are safe, welcoming, and “Sunday Ready.”
Advocate and ensure operation tickets and maintenance are getting done while discerning priority of what needs to get done first.

Highly collaborative team player with high relational and emotional maturity

Proven project management experience with the ability to lead initiatives from planning to completion
Strong administrative and organizational skills with an eye for detail and follow-through
Ability to create and manage systems, schedules, and workflows in a fast-paced ministry setting
Familiarity with church ministry operations and a passion for supporting the team behind the scenes
