ABOUT THE ROLE: As our new Marketing Intern, you will be able to use your creativity and innovative ideas to the fullest! Working within an ambitious Marketing team you will work collaboratively to further develop our marketing strategy and drive exciting new projects. You'll be learning and practicing marketing, sales and customer service skills daily before heading to an event location to represent a specific brand or cause for the day. You will be working as part of a team engaging with local consumers and closing sales when the product and timing are right.

SOME SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Meeting and making a connection with customers, asking questions and listening to customer needs, then giving options and advice on meeting those needs.
• Answering general questions and overcoming common objections 
• Completing new long term, donor sign ups including capturing of new donor details
• Draft pitches, actively conduct outreach and engage with clients
• Participate in team and department brainstorms
• Collecting valuable feedback and information from existing customers 
• Being enthusiastic and optimistic throughout the day regardless of the results 
• Picking up on verbal and non-verbal clues to gauge a person's level of interest

HOURS & PAY: We're primarily interested in people with full-time availability, but will consider part-time hours as long as you can work 20+ hours per week over 3-4 days Monday-Saturday. Starting weekly wages for full-time interns is up to $550 dependant on experience and performance. Most new Marketing Interns earn $300-550 per week including their commissions.

REQUIREMENTS: No specific work experience nor degree is required, but you'll need to be 18+ years of age and eligible to work in the USA to be considered.  Marketing, Sales, customer service, retail sales, hospitality, food service or similar experience can be helpful since you'll be working in a fast-paced environment and speaking directly with customers.
