Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our healthcare IT team as a NextGen System Administrator. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the customization and optimization of our NextGen Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, with a strong focus on template development and proficiency in SQL queries and stored procedures. This individual should be detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

1. NextGen System Administration:

• Administer and maintain the NextGen EHR system, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with end-users to understand workflow requirements and customize Nextech to meet specific needs.
• Implement system upgrades and patches with minimal disruption to daily operations.

2. Template Development:

• Design and develop custom templates within the NextGen system to enhance user experience and streamline clinical workflows.
• Work closely with healthcare professionals to gather requirements and ensure templates align with industry best practices.

3. SQL Query Development:

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and present data from the Nextech database.
• Create and maintain SQL stored procedures to automate routine tasks and improve data integrity.

4. User Training and Support:

• Provide training to end-users on NextGen system features, template usage, and best practices.
• Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and technical support for Nextech-related issues.

5. Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, customizations, and workflows.
• Develop and update training materials and guides for end-users.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a NextGen System Administrator, with expertise in template development and SQL.
• Strong proficiency in SQL query writing and optimization.
• Experience with SQL stored procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in NextGen EHR administration.
• Familiarity with other healthcare IT systems and interoperability standards.
• Project management skills for overseeing system upgrades and implementations.
