BASIC DESCRIPTION: Job will require assignment to various tasks, throughout the plant. Typical duties will include building repair, torch cutting, construction fabrication, welding, pipe fitting and layout, machine repair and installation, troubleshooting, machining and fabrication of parts and fixtures, carpentry. Required skills will include welding and cutting, pipe fitting (steel, copper, pvc), familiarity with electrical installations. Some machine operation such as lathe, drill press, milling and table saw may be required. Pay level will be commensurate with demonstrated trade skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Regular inspection of all electrical and power units of a facility. Detecting malfunctions and defects in company equipment and vehicle engines and repairing the same. Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions. Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted. Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority. Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical units to the supervising manager. Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same. Appropriately using and handling all repairs and testing tools and equipment. All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS: Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines. Sound understanding of using all electrical testing and repair equipment.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college. Bachelor's degree or an associate's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or any other discipline with 2 – 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic.

WHAT YOU'LL GET:

Full Time, Non-Exempt, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Starting Salary: $20/hr. - $26/hr.
