    Job Description

    This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and demand generation strategy that supports the strategic initiatives of the company, ensuring alignment with objectives for business growth and market share development. This role will be responsible for the effectiveness of the technology and operational infrastructure put in place to improve existing demand generation processes in addition to leading some aspects of the marketing organization which may include planning, staffing, training, process creation, objective-setting and budgeting.

    Essential Functions: In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include: 

    • Develop the company’s market-specific lead generation, lead nurturing and conversion tactics  
    • Oversee the performance of a Business Development (lead generation) function 
    • Lead some aspects of the Marketing function for the company 
    • Optimize and standardize demand creation approaches across the organization to meet or exceed agreed-upon targets
    • Conceptualize lead generation and business development campaigns for new and existing business 
    • Build, orchestrate and manage a marketing calendar that supports continuous pipeline generation 
    • Analyze industry trends, market conditions and competitors’ marketing tactics to continuously improve demand generation strategy 
    • Develop the metrics and tools needed to evaluate the effectiveness of demand generation activities and the growth of conversion metrics 
    • Refine the end-to-end lead management process in conjunction with Sales Operations, including lead capture and nurturing team
    • Track and monitor program execution against quantitative objectives and assume accountability
    • Manage the department budget ensuring all department initiatives are an effective expenditure of resources 
    • Create and refine the company’s brand(s), identity and positioning 
    • Collaborate with company’s partners to drive joint-business marketing goals 
    • Prepare presentations representing company’s current and future strategies in addition to ROI-driven marketing campaign plans 
    • Responsible for providing the Marketing team direction to include coaching, leadership and assistance with resources and strategy development

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 7 years of experience and expertise in online/offline, inbound and outbound, integrated marketing and lead generation
    • 5 years of experience in a leadership role
    • Broad functional experience in areas of strategic marketing and planning, branding, positioning, market research, and managing marketing channels
    • Bachelor’s in marketing, management or communications
    • Dynamic thought leader, strategic thinker, and problem solver
    • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment
    • Experienced in developing and managing budgets and expenses to deliver ROI
    • Excellent communicator with a thorough understanding of tailored messaging to buyer personas and constituents
    • Works effectively with senior-level executives, clients, vendors, and business partners
    • Experience with Hubspot, Marketo, ExactTarget, or similar marketing platform
    • Experience with Salesforce, Dynamics or similar CRM system and use of project management tools
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience in healthcare, HIT or software/technology company
    • Master’s Degree preferred
    • Product marketing certification

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    • General office environment: Works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.
    • Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 20% travel.
    • Periods of stress may occur.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks and in front of a computer monitor.
    • Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel.
