    Job Description

    Nextera Packaging is a growing, innovative food packaging supplier headquartered in St Paul Minnesota. In addition to our MN location, we also have distribution centers located all throughout the country. We function as both a master distributor of trays containers and films, as well as a converter of films. In addition to distributing most primary product lines, we also offer our own line of packaging.

    We are looking for a high-integrity, high-performing sales professional to fill a Regional Manager position at Nextera. On the sales side of this role, it will be a combination of both cultivating and landing new business to develop and grow the territory, as well as account management. The products that will be sold are both rigid (trays/containers), as well as flexibles (films/bags) for the food industry. We place a high value on team culture and collaboration, therefore this regional manager will office out of our corporate office in St Paul MN Mon-Fri 8:30am – 4:30pm. Over time, this position will evolve into a director level position, as we will begin to build a team under this position as the territory grows. Compensation: Up to $100K/yr starting salary to start for the right candidate. When the regional manager builds up their region's commission beyond $100K/yr, the comp plan will convert to full, uncapped, residual commission. Nextera's other regional managers are each earning $250K+ in annual residual commissions. That said, this is not an entry level position. We are looking for an already high-performing sales professional for this high-compensation role.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    · Cold calling to develop and land new business

    · Handing and closing inbound company generated leads.

    · Managing accounts: Developing and maintaining good relationships, cross selling new products, handling new projects and product recommendations, as well as resolving any issues/complaints.

    · Acting as a liaison between the different departments in the company, as well as to our suppliers for all issues that pertain to the regional manager's accounts.

    · Local travel as well as travel to the regional manager's territory. (estimated 10% travel)

    · Managing and mentoring staff

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    · Bachelor’s degree

    · Minimum 5+ years sales experience. 10 years sales experience preferred.

    · Proficiency in Microsoft office.
