    Job Description

    This Revenue Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting of revenue across various entities within the organization. Reporting to the Finance & Strategy Manager based in Switzerland, you will complete monthly and quarterly reporting requirements while ensuring SOX compliance. You will work closely with various departments within Nexthink including Sales Operations, Sales, Accounting, Controlling and Legal. You will also be involved in ongoing process improvement initiatives such as a new tool for capitalized commissions and the new ERP NetSuite. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure that revenue related journals are posted within the required deadlines for the various entities under US GAAP and statutory.
    • Responsible for driving month end and quarter end close, and ensuring that various activities are being performed within the required deadlines set by Finance.
    • Review of customer revenue models and identifying contract Performance Obligations to be accounted for.
    • Maintain accurate revenue recognition models for specific contracts.
    • Perform critical review of revenue and cost forecast changes to determine revenue recognition impact.
    • Evaluate, create and implement processes and controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
    • Liaise with auditors to complete group and statutory reporting.
    • Provide analytical revenue and unbilled receivable management reporting.
    • Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations related to revenue recognition.
    • Design and deliver training sessions on revenue for teams across the organization.
    • Implement a new tool for capitalized commissions calculation and postings.
    • Work with the Consolidation Manager on the new ERP implementation.

    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Detail orientated, with focus into high volume of numeric data.
    • Ability to establish and develop effective relationships.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to understand and critically assess financial business processes.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Attention to details, ability to keep deadlines and set priorities.
    • Willingness to take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
    • Minimum 3 years related experience. Software/technology industry experience is a must.
    • Experience in and understanding of revenue recognition accounting pronouncements with preference to candidates who have experience with Revenue Management System tools or using NetSuite.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally to our Swiss Headquarters.
