Position Summary

Support for core writing staff and engineering to perform technical writing, editing, and document conversion into a DITA/XML based content management system (CMS). Teamwork, editing skills, and attention to detail are essential to this position.

Responsible for converting and editing technical procedures into digital-based checklists for internal and external customer reference. The candidate will obtain data/draft from engineering sources, edit the information for accuracy and completeness, and incorporate it into content packages. Additional duties include formatting and file conversion of existing documentation for extended uses.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for taking handoff package from content engineering and completing a CMS integration per the aligned and committed deadlines (both internal and external). This work includes, but is not limited to, CMS DITA/XML editing, conversion, translation, and incorporating media to create a publication. Attend and contribute to content team meetings and provide status and plan for future deliverables. Define and address issues related to content package issues. Perform functions related to CMS software administration. Identify and implement process improvements where applicable with knowledge of DITA/XML and VBA scripting. Mentor and help train new resources on the content team as necessary.

Experience with large capital equipment and experience as an instructor. Maintenance experience on capital equipment is a plus. Also willing to interview those with significant semiconductor maintenance experience who is looking to move their career towards technical training.
