    Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 per year

    About the Job:

    We are looking for an exceptional seasoned or new grad Physical Therapist Assistant that can bring great energy to join our amazing team. This position requires analytical skills combined with manual therapy, along with potential company growth.

    You would be working alongside an exceptional therapist in an open, fun atmosphere. We also offer Massage, Acupuncture, Chiropractic Care and Pelvic Floor for an overall wellness experience.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide support to the physical therapist by preparing treatment area, patient, equipment, and materials, and performs procedures under the supervision and according to protocols.

    • Welcomes, comforts, and provides assistance to patients.

    • Helps treat patients by applying heat packs and paraffin dips, assisting patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, tracking walking time and distance, measuring mobility, and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.

    • Demonstrates suitable equipment and workout routines to patients in order to educate them.

    • Under direct supervision of and with co-signature by, records daily notes.

    • Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests.

    • Helps treat patients by applying ice or heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; tracking walking time and distance; performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques as requested by PT.

    • Maintains patient confidentiality to maintain trust while also protecting operations..

    • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

    • Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to the treatment area, positioning equipment for therapist access, and positioning patients on equipment.

    • Ensures operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment, and calling for repairs.

    • Maintains physical therapy supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.

    • Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

    • Reports any issues needing resolution to Physical Therapists or Chiropractors..

    Qualifications:

    • Experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

    • Physical Therapy Assistant Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.

    • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in California

    • Familiarity with exercise and physical therapy equipment

    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

    • Possession of excellent interpersonal, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills
