    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Sr Network Engineer to provide design, implementation, troubleshooting and support of network infrastructure.

    TRAVEL: some travel within the south Denver metro area

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot the following:
      1. Unified communications; Mitel/ShoreTel systems, a plus
      2. Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches and associated technologies
      3. Routers used for internal routing, ISP connectivity, and MPLS deployment
      4. Wireless solutions
      5. Windows Server
      6. Office 365
    • Develop detailed functional specifications, design documents, and test plans.
    • Monitor network performance and integrity.
    • Consult regarding network performance, capacity, and scalability.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve support issues with cloud and local infrastructure.
    • Consult with technical and business partners and serve as a consulting resource to support client-hosted installations and implementations.
    • Work cross-functionally with internal and external customers to define deliverables.
    • Support escalation incidents and support on-call duty requirements.
    • Interface with internal clients such as sales, service and field staff as well as external clients to define deliverables.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Solid background in network administration and architecture.
    • Strong knowledge and expertise on firewall vendors: Cisco, Fortinet, pfSense, SonicWall.

    Must have experience with the following:

    • Cisco Data Center switches
    • Networking in virtual platforms
    • EIGRP
    • GRE tunnels
    • QinQ VLAN configurations
    • QoS configuration
    • Multi-site/stretched datacenter environments
    • FWSM or ASA/PIX knowledge
    • STP knowledge
    • iSCSI + SAN knowledge
    • Router configuration management
    • TACACS and other authorization methods
    • Device and networking hardening 802.1x
    • Syslog
    • BGP

    The following certifications are desirable.

    • CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
    • CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert)

    The candidate must possess a relevant combination of education, experience and training that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions. Industry certifications are highly desirable.
