    Hospitality Internship Program NHS Global Events - Skokie, IL $10 - $15 an hour - Internship NHS Global Events is looking for a qualified intern to join our team for Fall 2018. We are a privately held meeting and events firm seeking an intern who can help the team by assisting with various tasks and handling a wide range of important duties. This intern should be prepared to work at least 20 hours a week in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the Meetings & Events industry, as well as hospitality management. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities The outline of duties below is not arranged in any specific priority, but rather to describe minimum activities and can be altered by the Project Manager to suit the needs of the company. * Assist in administrative and office support goings-on for multiple departments including scheduling of meetings, company reminders and other happenings to help set priorities for the day * Fielding of telephone calls, monitoring company email, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations and filing * Facilitate the efficient flow of mail through the office; pick up mail from company mailbox and deposit at post office at days end * Plan and schedule meetings and appointments; organize and maintain paper and electronic files; manage projects; conduct research; and disseminate information by using the telephone, mail services, Web sites, and e-mail * Ensure accurate data entry, job coding and allocation of Business Development logs; verify discrepancies with invoices * Manage contact database of clients and vendors * Miscellaneous errands as directed * Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential * Contribution to continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and systems * Assists Project Management to complete the daily management, coordination, supervision and successful completion of projects. * Ability to prioritize multiple competing demands within this field.
