Our Student Intern Tax Preparer position begins with paid training in the Fall/Winter. The ideal candidate will be an Accounting major and have taken at least one tax class. The candidate also will have:

strong computer skills

excellent organizational skills

excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

work well independently and as a team player

During tax season (approximately Feb. 1st to April 15th), the Tax Preparer/Intern will work 25+ hours per week, including weekends. Overtime is encouraged, and bonuses are awarded for effort and advancing skills.

Position Description

Understand our accounting firm and all processes

Prepare individual tax returns to meet government requirements, deadlines and client expectations

Develop a working knowledge of tax laws

Develop a working knowledge of tax software

Learn to apply technical skills to actual situations

Participate in weekly meeting with accounting professionals

This is a paid position with opportunities for a season-end bonus, as well as paid overtime.

(Please note: We are interested in hiring multiple interns. Also working remotely is not an option.)
