    IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

    ASSISTS IN ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT. 

    GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

    Devote himself/herself to ensuring satisfaction to customers.

    Attend company meetings as required.

    Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects.

    Establish personal performance goals that are consistent with company standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.

    Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.

    Understand the terminology of the business and keep abreast of technology changes in products and services.

    Know and understand the federal, state and local requirements which govern the company's business.

    Follow lawful directions from supervisors.

    Understand and follow work rules and procedures.

    Participate in performance management.

    Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.

    Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.

    Work evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required.

    JOB-SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS

    Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to network.

    Recommends and schedules repairs and maintains related network documentation.

    Provides end user support for all network based applications and equipment.

    DAILY DUTIES

    Handles IT requests submitted on the Intranet by remote sites, as administered by either Network Technicians, or by the Lead IT Network Technician.

    Monitors the security of all aspects of the network.

    Works hands-on with other Support Technicians, Network Technicians, and/or the Lead IT Network Technician, either onsite or remotely.

    MONTHLY DUTIES

    Meets regularly with the members of the IT Department to discuss current projects or concerns.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    EDUCATION

    High school diploma or the equivalent.

    Associates Degree in Applied Science or higher in the field of Computer Science and/or Network Technology is not required, but recommended. A+ and Network+ certifications are not required, but recommended.
