Our Philadelphia-based wholesale produce distribution company is seeking an experienced Night Warehouse Manager to oversee our evening warehouse operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for managing a team of 6–10 warehouse associates, ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment, maintaining warehouse organization, and fostering a safe, productive work environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment, communicates effectively across departments, and leads by example.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of 6–10 night warehouse associates.

Hire, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate warehouse team members.

Manage employee performance, including disciplinary actions and performance improvement when necessary.

Organize and prioritize customer orders by delivery route and delivery zone.

Ensure orders are accurately pulled, staged, and prepared for delivery.

Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and inventory flow throughout the shift.

Enforce company safety policies and ensure the proper use of warehouse equipment.

Coordinate with purchasing, receiving, quality control, and other departments to ensure product quality and timely order completion.

Troubleshoot operational issues and maintain productivity throughout the shift.

Perform other warehouse and supervisory duties as needed.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse supervisory or management experience required.

Experience in food distribution, produce, or a related warehouse environment preferred.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees in a fast-paced setting.

Ability to repeatedly lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience operating warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Knowledge of fresh produce or food products is a plus.

Schedule

Shift: 4:00 PM until completion of nightly operations.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
