    Job Description

    Join NineStar Connect as our next Vice President of Human Resources and help shape the future of our cooperative and the communities we serve! In this executive role, you’ll lead the strategy, culture, and people-focused initiatives that make NineStar an employer of choice. You’ll partner with senior leadership to drive organizational excellence, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure we’re building a workplace where every team member can thrive.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Leadership:
      Provide vision and guidance for all HR functions, aligning people strategies with NineStar’s mission, values, and long-term goals.

    • Culture & Engagement:
      Champion NineStar’s culture by leading initiatives that support employee engagement, inclusion, and organizational health.

    • Talent Management:
      Oversee recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance management to ensure we attract, grow, and retain top talent.

    • HR & Compliance Leadership:
      Directly oversee a team of HR professionals and provide executive oversight of NineStar’s Legal and Compliance functions in partnership with internal leadership and external counsel, ensuring organizational practices remain compliant, ethical, and aligned with regulatory requirements.

    • Compliance & HR Operations:
      Ensure HR policies, processes, and practices remain compliant with all federal and state laws. Oversee benefits, wellness programs, compensation structures, HRIS data, and employee relations.

    • Leadership Partnership:
      Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insight on workforce planning, organizational development, employee experience, and team effectiveness.

    • Board & Executive Support:
      Prepare and present workforce updates, HR metrics, and strategic recommendations to the President/CEO and Board of Directors.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Education:
      Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Business, or related field.

    • Experience:
      15 plus years of progressive HR leadership experience; prior executive or senior HR management strongly preferred.

    • Certifications:
      SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR required.

    • Expertise:
      Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, talent acquisition, employee development, compensation, and compliance.

    • Skills:
      Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Ability to influence, guide, and support leaders at all levels.
