Nino Salvaggio is currently looking for a Baker for our Bloomfield Township location.
Roll, knead, cut or shape prepared dough to form pie crusts, tarts, cookies or other products.
Place prepared dough, pastries or cake mixes in pans, mold or sheets and bake in production ovens or on grills.
Observe products being baked and adjust oven temperatures, humidity or conveyor speed accordingly.
Check the quality of products to ensure that standards and specifications are met.
Check equipment to ensure it meets safety and health regulations and perform maintenance and cleaning, as necessary.
Order or receive supplies or equipment.
Prepare or maintain inventory or production records.
Operate slicing or wrapping machines.
Apply glazes or toppings to baked goods using spatula or brushes.
Handle any damaged and/or spoiled product according to guidelines and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
Comply with safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Notify management immediately of any safety or equipment issues or violations.
Assist in training associates when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED, required.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to work overnight shift.
Previous baker experience, required.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8 or more hour periods.
