    Overview:

    The Nittany Valley Sports Centre is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Marketing and Sales Associate. As the area’s leading provider of indoor sports programming for all ages and largest private event venue, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences to our customers across multiple programs and special events. Additionally, as part of our core mission, we strive to enhance our community by providing opportunities for children to to play and grow in a safe and vibrant environment. A Marketing and Sales Associate will play a pivotal role in achieving our mission, driving growth and revenue, increasing brand visibility, and enhancing customer engagement through effective marketing and sales strategies.

    Responsibilities:

    Personally lead the marketing and selling efforts of a multi-sport indoor sports and event facility.

    Create engaging graphics and visual content for various marketing channels, including social media, website, email campaigns, and print materials.

    Manage and execute marketing campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with our core mission, business objectives, and target audience.

    Have a regular presence in the building during evening and weekend programming for personal and direct engagement with customers to both market and sell our programs and services.

    Have a regular presence in the building during evening and weekend programming to gather content (photos, videos, etc.) for social media and other marketing campaigns.

    Maintain and update the facility's website to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, optimize user experience, and drive traffic.

    Work closely with our Director of Business Development on strategies and identification of target markets.

    Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement marketing initiatives that support growth across all programs.

    Work closely with our marketing partnership consultant to maximize the impact of strategic partnerships and sponsorships.

    Manage social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) by creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and running social media advertising campaigns.

    Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, provide regular reports to management, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.

    Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

    Qualifications:

    A dynamic and engaging personality and a comfort with proactive, face-to-face customer engagement for marketing and selling.

    Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator to create visually appealing content.

    Experience with WordPress or similar content management systems for website maintenance and updates.

    Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and hands-on experience with social media advertising.

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating presentations and reports.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling marketing messages.

    Creative thinking, attention to detail, and a passion for sports and event marketing.

    Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

    A degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred but not required.

    Experience with photography and videography is a plus.

    This position requires active engagement with the management team and with customers in the facility several times per week. Some work can be done remotely but the position does require regular time in the building.

    Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required for special events or marketing activities.

    Hourly salary depends on experience and there are opportunities for growth and advancement.

    A 401K plan is available for eligible employees after six months of service.

    This is a part-time, hourly position but the potential for full-time work does exist based on availability for, and interest in, related work.
