    WE ARE SEEKING A COST ACCOUNTANT TO SUPPORT OUR MANUFACTURING SITES IN THE US. 

    Nitto is a global pioneer of state-of-the-art technology. Founded in 1918 to produce electrical insulation materials, Nitto has grown to be a leader in energy materials, industrial tapes, environmental solutions, optronic and life sciences markets.

    Our facilities located in Lakewood, NJ, Jasper Alabama, Lexington Kentucky, Chesapeake Virginia and Piqua Ohio manufacture acoustic, structural and sealing materials for the automotive industry. Our lightweight structural products make cars run quieter by reducing road noise and improving fuel efficiencies. Nitto, Inc. also manufactures pressure sensitive tapes used in the electrical, electronic, automotive, and aerospace industries.

    THE QUALIFIED CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANALYZING COST ACCOUNTING DATA SUCH AS PURCHASES, INVENTORY AND LABOR TO DETERMINE THE IMPACT OF THESE COSTS AND IDENTIFY POTENTIAL INEFFICIENCIES.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Compile and analyze financial information with Trial Balance monthly, quarterly, year end and budget.

    • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

    • Plan and coordinate cost roll procedures with the NA sites; consolidating, analyzing and performing the activity on a semi-annual basis.

    • Provide recommendation based on analyzing results, monitoring variances and identifying trends.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university; three (3) or more years of accounting experience as a cost analyst or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Minimum of two years experience in a manufacturing company required

    • Experience in MRP/ERP system; JD Edward and/or Macola preferred

    • Familiar with COGS structure

    • Intermediate or above skills in Microsoft Excel

    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple task simultaneously; ability to work under time constraints with high level of detail

    • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively across cultural and language differences

    • Ability to travel domestically to visit Nitto sites in the US

    • Bi-lingual - Japanese/English a plus
