TonaLaw is seeking an experienced No-Fault Collections Legal Assistant to join our No-Fault team. This is a great opportunity that allows you to grow professionally, as we offer mentoring, training, oversight, and collaboration and hold weekly meetings as a practice group. The Legal Assistant will help TonaLaw attorneys provide a superior level of legal representation. Responsibilities: • Process and respond to all requests from the American Arbitration Association • Timely submission of new cases via Simple File and uploads to AAA via the Modria website • Rebuttal Requests and follow-ups to clients. Maintaining a calendar for follow-up on the retrieval of requested documents • Quality control review of prepared cases • Updating file statuses in case management software • Assistance with client account audits • Correspondence with insurance carriers and clients • Request review of medical records and invoice processing • Ensure timely retrieval of medical records and billing records • Delegating new cases received to the team for preparation • Processing and posting incoming accounts receivable • Timely follow-up of outstanding accounts receivable • Pre-arbitration Settlements, counter offers, and fee scheduling • Review for accuracy of policy documents, PIP payouts, and other documents received by the carrier • Establishing liens for policy exhaustion cases • Updatingand organizing the calendar for the attorneys’ daily hearings • Filing of Master Arbitration briefs • Drafting of all correspondence, Summons and Complaints, Discovery Demands, Response to • Combined Demands, Subpoenas, Affidavits, Motions, and trial prep assist. E-filing.
