    Noah's Ark Veterinary Resort is a privately owned, small animal veterinary practice between Baltimore-Annapolis, MD, and the Washington, D.C. area offering an opportunity to enjoy many cultural, recreational, and outdoor activities.

    Our Medical Director position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and skilled associate veterinarian with leadership qualities who is eager to significantly impact veterinary medicine and patient care in a private practice setting.

    As our Veterinary Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our hospital's medical operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.     Responsibilities:

    Provide medical leadership and oversight to our veterinary team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional veterinary care.

    Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement hospital growth and development strategies.

    Maintain a high standard of medical protocols, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and ethical guidelines.

    Conduct regular veterinary meetings, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

    Mentor and support veterinarians and veterinary staff, promoting professional growth and development.

    Work closely with clients, providing education and guidance on pet care and fostering strong client relationships.

    Perform various medical procedures, surgeries, and diagnostic tests as needed.

    Ensure accurate and timely documentation of medical records.

    Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and implement relevant advances into practice protocols.

    Qualifications:

    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.

    Active license to practice veterinary medicine in Maryland (or eligibility for licensure).

    Experience as a practicing veterinarian with a strong medical & surgical background.

    Proven leadership & management skills, with the ability to motivate & inspire a team.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, focusing on client satisfaction and compassion for our patients and their owners.

    Strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and upholding the highest standards of veterinary medicine.

    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
