    Job Description

    We are looking for an APPLICATIONS SUPPORT ENGINEER – WAREHOUSE SERVICES to join our Distribution Center in ONTARIO, CA!

    JOB SUMMARY

    Reporting to the Applications Manager, the Applications Support Engineer (ASE) will take a very hands-on approach and use their expertise of technology and end to end distribution functions to ensure all warehouse production systems are running well and will engage in troubleshooting proactively and reactively to ensure all KPIs and SLAs are met for the Noble House's business and Technology areas. This resource is a key Subject Matter Expert (SME) across all warehouse and related technologies and processes (e.g., B2B Wholesale Sales Order Management) and will work with various internal systems and external vendor applications to ensure business objectives are met. This SME will ensure that the right systems and owners are fully engaged in addressing issues proactively and reactively to ensure ownership of warehouse systems and technologies. The ASE is responsible for responding to, investigating, resolving and/or assisting in the resolution of to all triggered alerts. Additionally the ASE will assist the IT Support/Infrastructure teams in day-to-day administrative tasks and projects.

    WHAT DOES THIS ROLE INVOLVE?

    JOB EXPECTATIONS

    • Build relationships with warehouse operations team by spending time on warehouse floor to learn their workflows, so that we can better assist them with technical issues.
    • Responsible for troubleshooting a wide variety of technical issues, ranging from network connectivity and warehouse equipment issues.
    • Analyze production or workflow issues by creating and monitoring various reporting tools utilizing our in-house warehouse management system.
    • Prioritize tickets on Spiceworks (IT issue tracking system) to ensure local and remote users receive updates and resolutions in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate across cross functional warehouse, application engineering, and business teams to solve high impact incidents with a sense of urgency by providing quality and accurate information.
    • Identify recurring technical issues and fix their root causes to enhance business productivity.
    • Demonstrate accountability and ownership by employing a strong work ethic to solve complex problems from start to finish.
    • Perform research independently by asking clarifying questions, gather relevant data, and resolve the manner using a data driven approach.
    • Be a team player and assist other members to achieve overall team goals.
    • Flexibility to provide support to 24/7 sales, fulfillment and warehouse support and participating on rotational or on-call shift when needed.

    • Inbound and Outbound automation applications
    • Manual scanning (Inbound/Outbound)
    • Label scanning
    • Map creation

    • TMS management
    • Returns management
    • Physical Inventory updating

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Experience with .Net programming
    • Proficient with Database SQL
    • Experience handling incident response and management
    • Experience with on premises infrastructure management
    • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure management
    • High Level understanding of system & application monitoring best practices
    • Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Generally, requires a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an applications systems support role or equivalent experience

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a degree/focus in Information Technology, Computer Science(s). Technical certifications are a plus.

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus, but not required
    • Knowledge of Google Business Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail, Drive) highly preferred but not required

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Work performed indoors in an office facility with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions.

    • Certain office locations are adjacent to warehouse facility spaces with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions.

    • During COVID-19 pandemic, work-from-home is permissible

    • Noise level of the office environment is low.
