Job Title: Mechanical Engineer LVL 1 (with Munitions Development Focus)

NOMADICS is currently seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a focus on munitions development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, testing, and optimizing mechanical systems and products, particularly in the field of munitions. Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and products, with a specific focus on munitions development
- Conduct thorough research to identify optimal materials, components, and manufacturing processes for munitions projects
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings, schematics, and models for munitions systems
- Test and evaluate prototypes to ensure they meet stringent performance and safety standards required for munitions applications
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to manufacturing and production teams during the development and implementation of munitions systems
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering, particularly as they relate to munitions technology
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on munitions development or related fields
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CREO, for designing and modeling mechanical systems
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of munitions engineering challenges
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
