     FINANCE ASSISTANT WANTED!

    Nonotuck Resource Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Finance Assistant II. The Finance Assistant II works on behalf of the individuals for which Nonotuck is Representative Payee in regard to their financial needs and completes all procedures as per approved Rep Payee Policies.  The Finance Assistant II also works alongside Finance Assistant I in the reconciliation of Transaction Reports for those individuals in which Nonotuck has delegated money management responsibilities.  The Finance Assistant II will also be assigned finance department projects outside of the rep-payee program.

    The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate with diverse types of individuals and opinions. Professional, compassionate, and clear communication is essential for this job. We are seeking someone who displays high standards of ethical conduct, refrains from dishonest behavior and is able to maintain strict confidentiality. This person should display a high level of initiative, effort, and attention to detail. 

    Finally, a positive workplace culture is essential for our agency. Therefore, a candidate who fosters and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust, group identity and team spirit throughout the organization is a must.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    _Competencies: _

    • Knowledge of Social Security Administration requirements for Organizational Representative Payees
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, accounting general ledger programs and software
    • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the Department of Developmental Services and the Office of Medicaid, Adult Foster Care Services
    • Ability to analyze and see trends in various types of data and recommend follow-up steps in response to conclusions reached
    • Displays a high level of initiative, effort, attention to detail and commitment by completing assignments efficiently with minimal supervision
    • Ability to adapt to new systems and processes and the ability to work remotely when required.

    Communication:

    • Communicate professionally with all individuals, employees and external parties verbally and in writing
    • Ability to arrive at consensus to change and improve current practices and procedures
    • Exchanges information with individuals or groups effectively by listening and responding appropriately

    Ethics:

    • Displays high standards of ethical conduct and refrains from dishonest behavior
    • Complies with confidentiality and information security policies to ensure individual’s information is protected
    • Ability to work with diverse types of individuals and opinions.
    • Fosters and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust and group identity and team spirit throughout the organization

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    •  Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent in a related field of study 2-3 Yrs.
