Leading Westchester, NY hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Scientist is responsible to oversee the quality and operations of the Nursing Research Program
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates daily activities of a designated study or group of studies and maintains industry relationships, and guides training of nursing and other clinical staff on good clinical practice and external regulatory agency requirements.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure the nursing research and evidence-based practice process is utilized efficiently and is directed at achieving optimal outcomes.
- Develop scientific protocols and generates hypotheses for research inquiries independently and in collaboration with nursing staff.
- Provides technical and functional expertise in research studies and EBP projects
- Oversees and coordinate research and EBP projects as defined by the ANCC to obtain and maintain Magnet Program Designation
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and scientific meetings and disseminates findings
- Uses statistical software to analyze study data and interface with biostatisticians for analysis; engages leaders from various specialties to develop collaborative multidisciplinary research
- Oversees clinical research staff performing clinical functions on study participants as needed
- Liaises with agencies, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, and equipment and supply companies as needed
Qualifications:
- Licenses Ney York State Registered Nurse
- PH.D. or DNP required
- A strong background in clinical research or nursing education required
Salary: $130,000 - $193,000
