    Our client, a top manufacturer of Cannabis edibles, is seeking a new Plant Manager to join their organization at a pivotal moment as the company is expanding to multistate operations. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has a successful background in Plant Management and can replicate their success in the multi-state launch.


    As the Plant Manager, you will oversee all daily plant operations, ensuring seamless coordination across Inventory/Compliance, Production, Packaging, and Facilities teams. You will hire, train, and develop leaders, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. By partnering with Sales, you will ensure production meets sales demand while maintaining high product quality and compliance with state laws. You'll drive cost reduction and quality enhancement by implementing innovative manufacturing processes and lean principles. Additionally, you will create and maintain documentation protocols, oversee performance reviews, manage hiring and termination processes, and strict compliance.

    Key performance goals include optimizing labor
    costs, eliminating product quality issues, enhancing production output and efficiency, minimizing waste, achieving zero inspection infractions, and optimizing the inventory system. This role is pivotal in maintaining a production output of our demand while ensuring the facility can scale operations efficiently

    Direct Reports: Inventory Manager, Kitchen Manager, Packaging Manager, Facilities Manager


    Responsibilities:
    Oversee all daily plant operations.
    Hire, train, and develop leaders within the organization.
    Supervise Inventory/Compliance, Production, Packaging, and Facilities teams.
    Partner with Sales teams to ensure production meets sales demand.
    Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality.
    Create documentation protocols and ensure that all records of operations are properly maintained and reviewed
    Apply lean manufacturing principles in designing, specifying, and validating world-class manufacturing processes that achieve organizational goals
    Ideate and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility
    Is the subject matter expert on their state’s compliance laws and ensures adherence.
    Ensure clear communication with Department Managers.
    Oversee employee performance reviews.
    Manage hiring and termination processes.
    Train and develop Department Managers.
    Ensure production meets sales demand.
    Maintain a culture of accountability at every step of our process.
    Ensure compliance with inventory and transfer management.
    Oversee Food Safety Compliance Program.


    Required Education and Skills:

    7-10 years in CPG Manufacturing, Cannabis Edibles or Pharma a plus

    Bachelor’s Degree

    OSHA, EHS, Food Safety, Six Sigma a plus
