    Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine Student Affairs Coordinator (Financial Aide and Registrar office) Overview of Position: The Student Affairs Coordinator for the Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine (Noorda-COM) collaborates with the Director of Financial Aid and the Registrar to coordinate and process student requests for information, maintain accurate files related to applicants and matriculants, to assist with incoming student events, and to serve as a source of information for prospective and current students. Responsibilities:

    1. In collaboration with the Director of Financial Aid and the Registrar, and in support of the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and the Dean, ensure coordination of student financial aid processing, enrollment, and records processing. 1.1. Process and maintain student data to ensure student financial aid and enrollment records are complete, accurate, and consistently updated. 1.2. Process student requests for transcripts. 1.3. Process enrollment and degree verification requests. 1.4. Assist with College catalog production, review, and maintenance. 1.5. Update student files within the student information system. 1.6. Assist with development and dissemination of financial literacy education. 1.7. Monitor satisfactory academic progress for matriculants’ continued financial aid eligibility. 1.8. Monitor and maintain documentation of student eligibility for scholarships, loans, and federal programs. 1.9. Maintain communications and provide customer service to applicants and matriculants through mail, email, and phone as it relates to financial aid and enrollment. 1.10. Carry out daily administrative tasks for the Office of Financial Aid and the Office of the Registrar, including answering phones, monitoring emails, maintaining calendars/meetings for the Director of Financial Aid and the Registrar, preparing communications, and providing other support needed to carry out the integrated student services strategy of Noorda-COM.
    2. Actively engages in the advancement of the College 2.1. Builds collaborative partnership opportunities across and among various entities participating in networking opportunities, (internal and external partners [elected officials, state constitutional officers, business and community leaders] other colleges and universities, hospitals, local organizations, societies, etc.) promoting relationships with the College. 2.2. Collaborates with Leadership on all Noorda-COM related legislative issues to include contact with national, state, and local government officials. 2.3. Contributes to the College’s compliance with and in the development of required documentation as related to accreditation of all programs to which departmental content is contributed. (faculty adequacy model, self-assessment, peer review, providing input/feedback, etc.) aids in the attainment of academic compliance. 2.4. Contributes to the production of various College materials [strategic planning, directory, College website, etc.] (reviewing drafts, providing input/feedback, etc.). 2.5. Contributes to the College’s reputation/image of being one of the best osteopathic medical colleges (monitoring outcomes, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, modifying techniques, etc.) 2.6. Is knowledgeable of and remains in compliance with all institutional policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook for Noorda-COM. Qualifications: Education: Baccalaureate in any discipline with focus on communications, human resources, higher education, or business management. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: • 1-3 years of office administration, communications, or student affairs administration. • Previous financial aid or enrollment management experience highly preferred. Skills & Abilities: Highly professional with honest, genuine, direct communication style, excellent interpersonal skills and emotional maturity with the essential ability to demonstrate tact, discretion, professional judgement and job diplomacy. Familiarity with osteopathic medical education is highly preferred. Must be: • Able to communicate effectively, in written and oral formats, with internal and external constituents • An excellent provider of customer service • Quality and effectiveness driven, self-confident, with ability to influence and effectively communicate with various constituencies • Able to maintain confidentiality and possess an above average attention to detail • Able to work independently yet is an effective participant in cross-functional teams • Self-motivated, self-disciplined, have a strong work ethic and capable of establishing priorities • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and effectively handle frequent interruptions • Innovative, resourceful, detail oriented, with excellent follow through skills • Capable of balancing multiple projects in stressful situations while meeting deadlines, achieving desired results, and maintaining positive relations Pay & Benefits: Pay is commensurate with experience and education.
