    Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine Campus Wellness Intern Term of Position: Mid May to Mid August 2021 (Exact dates to be determined with candidate). Position Summary Support the Wellness Program at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine (Noorda COM) in preparation for students to arrive on campus in the Fall of 2021. Collaborates and takes direction from the Director of Wellness, as well as the Student Affairs team to provide a thorough and effective wellness program for students, staff and faculty. Responsibilities: In collaboration with the Director of Interprofessional Education and Wellness and in support of the Student Affairs Team, prepare and deliver a campus wide wellness program for Noorda COM students, faculty and staff. 1.1. Assist in creating wellness content and disseminating wellness information to participants. 1.2. Help create a wellness support program for families and friends of Noorda COM students. 1.3. Assist in wellness preparations for students to arrive on campus in Fall 2021. 2. Actively engages in the advancement of the College. 2.1. Contributes to the College’s reputation/image of being one of the best osteopathic medical colleges (monitoring outcomes, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, modifying techniques, etc.). 3. Performs such other duties as may be assigned or delegated related to this position. Qualifications: Education: Close to completion of Bachelors or Masters degree in related fields, such as Wellness, Communication, Organizational Leadership, etc. This position is intended to serve as an internship for students in higher education. Experience: Experience in group projects, project and task completion, and wellness activities. Skills & Abilities: Highly professional with honest, genuine, direct communication style, excellent interpersonal skills and emotional maturity with the essential ability to demonstrate tact, discretion and job diplomacy. Must be: • Proactive, innovative, versed in all aspects of communication • Quality and effectiveness driven, self-confident, with ability to influence and effectively communicate with various constituencies • Exceptional at listening, written and oral presentation skills • Able to work independently yet as an effective participant in cross-functional teams • Self-motivated, self-disciplined, have a strong work ethic and capable of establishing priorities • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and effectively handle frequent interruptions • Innovative, resourceful, detail oriented, with excellent follow through skills • Capable of balancing multiple projects in stressful situations while meeting deadlines, achieving desired results, and maintaining positive relations • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality of data and information • Able to work on-site at Provo Campus Location in Provo Utah. Salary: Salary is determined based on Internship hours required from sponsoring institution. This is a part time position based on required number of hours for Internship completion. Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine is in the accreditation process with the Commission of Osteopathic College Accreditation for Fall of 2021. We are located in the beautiful Utah Valley in Provo surrounded by the Wasatch mountain range and Utah Lake. Our campus is in development for completion in 2021.
