    Noorda-College of Osteopathic Medicine (Proposed) Pharmacology Faculty Overview: The proposed Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Pharmacology Faculty position. The individual in this role will fulfill duties to further the mission of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and the College by participating in student education, student counseling, scholarly activities, and service. Faculty members are encouraged to conduct original research/scholarly activities and pursue extramural funding in their areas of interest. Faculty should also be involved in service to the Department and College. Summary of Responsibilities: • Provides current and appropriate educational content for DO students • Prepares questions to assess student performance • Works effectively as a team member to enhance and improve curriculum • Provides effective, active support as a student advisor and mentor • Mentors students in the development of research questions and implementation of research projects • Serves on various committees within the College Qualifications: Education: Advanced degree (PhD, DO, MD or PharmD) in an appropriate health-related science. Experience: Preference is given to candidates with experience in teaching medical, allied health and/or graduate students. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in an osteopathic medical program. Demonstration of effective performance in research (e.g. poster presentations, abstracts, invited presentations, successful extramural funding, published articles) Must be: • US citizen or have a permanent residency • An exceptional listener with excellent written and oral communication skills • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities • Innovative, resourceful, detailed oriented, with excellent follow through skills Salary & Benefits: Full benefits available and salary is commensurate with experience and education. Type: Full-Time Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine (Proposed) is in the accreditation process with the Commission of Osteopathic College Accreditation for Fall of 2021. The College is located in Provo, in the beautiful Utah Valley, surrounded by the Wasatch mountain range and Utah Lake. Our campus is in development for completion in 2021.
