We have built the first ever contactless health scanner that can measure vital signs for anyone within a 6 ft range and does not require any effort from the person being scanned, whether during inpatient visits or post discharge in the comfort of home.

    THE POSITION

    As a Hardware Engineering Intern, you will provide support to many aspects of hardware product development, including design validation, FDA regulatory testing, manufacturing, technical support, and project management.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team in a fast paced, start-up environment. As an engineer on a small team, interns get a unique glimpse into the variety of challenges involved in bringing a new product to market. 

    The internship length is dependent on candidate availability, but desired to be between 3-6 months. This is a full-time paid internship onsite at Newlab in Brooklyn, NY.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Product assembly, testing, and debug
    • Hardware test system definition, development, and documentation
    • Support production line bring-up at a contract manufacturer
    • Product technical support for Norbert team
    • Device data collection and customer demonstrations
    • Process and control hardware inventory

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    • Junior, Senior or recent undergraduate pursuing degree in a technical field, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering
    • Hardware experience
    • Available 5 days/40 hours per week
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Proactive learner with demonstrated interest in product development
    • One or more of the following skills: 3D CAD (SolidWorks), PCB schematic/layout, electronics assembly, electronic bench test equipment, Linux, Python, Git
