Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer Interns will work with the Production Manager and his team to improve efficiency, improve quality, and eliminate waste in the manufacturing process. They will be managing the work of standardizing the operation procedures. This role will support the Director of Production and the production team in standardizing the workstations. They will be assigned to different work centers to evaluate workflow and evaluate SOP.
Assist with developing and updating standardized work at each workstation
Take existing SOP, observe current execution of SOP, develop existing SOP or create new where needed.
Improve process flow
Follow through on commitments, produce timely work to promote a higher standard; pitch in to get the job done
Performing a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
All other duties that may be necessary from time to time outside the normal scope of your job description will contribute toward the company meeting its goals and objectives.

Pay attention to detail
Monitoring observance to standards actively checking for accuracy of data received or generated before passing it on
Strong problem analysis and problem resolution
Clear written and spoken communication skills
Flexibility: responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges and assignments
Dependable and reliable
Must be a well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player
Bi-lingual is preferred
MS Office, in particular, strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis
