Professional engineer with 15+ years of consulting engineering, design, and project management experience to lead a Water Resources/Storm Water team.
Experience leading, managing, and supervising project teams performing a variety of study and design projects using various software packages related to stormwater and flood protection is a must. This role also requires experience with hydrological and hydraulic computer modeling software packages.
Experience:
- Lead, manage, and perform analysis and planning of drainage and flood control programs undertaken by regulatory agencies.
- Manage a small team of whom are performing modeling, mapping, alternatives, evaluation, cost estimating, and report writing.
- Establish project criteria and standards consistent with the firm's general standards to include the supervision and control of all project activities.
- Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships on projects; develop new business with existing and new clients.
- Experience making public presentations to small and large groups as well as experience in marketing and public relations activities is required.
Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering; MS Civil Engineering preferred.
- Registered PE, Texas PE registration preferred.
- 15+ years of experience
- Significant experience in managing flood studies, river basin studies, etc.
- Working knowledge with modeling software; HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, etc.
- Ability to analyze, interpret modeling results, and understand practical application of such results.
- Ability to lead the conceptual and preliminary design of projects stemming from above.
- Effectively communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and others.
- Strong writing skills.
- Active involvement with industry/technical organizations, such as ASCE.
- Experience leading detailed design and construction management of projects resulting from studies outlined above.
