    Job Description

    Our company is Norman Window Fashions and we have been in the window covering industry for more than 30 years, we are growing and we are seeking candidates for our Programmer/Analyst position here at our Corporate Office in Santa Fe Springs.

    Under direction and supervision, the VB/Vb.Net Developer will provide technical programming and database expertise to solve complex business processes. Formulates and devises application scope and objectives. The Programmer/ Analyst will prepare detailed specifications, program design, program coding, testing, debugging and documentation in support of existing and new Care 1st application systems.

    • 3+ years in VB6.0 /VB.NET development
    • 3+ years in MS SQL Server Database development
    • 1 year of experience with Crystal reports
    • Experience with application design, file structures, coding practices, quality assurance, documentation and HIPAA compliance
    • Ability to complete work in a timely manner
    • Ability to work in a demanding environment
    • 4 year degree in computer science preferred
    • Accounting Knowledge (AR, Credit/Debit memo processes)
    • BILINGUAL IN MANDARIN IS REQUIRED AS YOU WILL ALSO COMMUNICATE WITH OUR HEADQUARTERS LOCATED IN CHINA.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents complex programs.
    • Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
    • Designs systems and programs to meet complex business needs.
    • Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded.
    • Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.
    • Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements.
    • Prepares time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.
    • Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
    • Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
    • Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility.
    • Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
    • Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.
    • Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.
    • Performs daily production support / monitoring functions.
    • Schedules/Performs training of groups and/or individuals on the general use of programs developed.
    • Works closely with user departments in system and programmer design of new applications.
