    Job Description

    HR GENERALIST - TIMEKEEPING/PAYROLL & EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

    Primary focus in this role is on timekeeping & payroll, but will also include support of recruiting efforts, employee interaction including events and activities, and various administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have experience in a walk-in or high traffic HR department.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supports timekeeping & payroll-related activities for multi companies using Kronos UKG platform
    • Prepares reports, reviews and manages data related to timekeeping, payroll and other business matters
    • Provides day-to-day support and assistance to employees on a variety of employment matters
    • Provides support for the pre- and post-offer employment process.
    • Supports activities related to employee relations including employee events, projects and activities

    REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES NEEDED:

    • Two or four year degree Human Resources or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Two or more years Human Resource experience in comparable environment required. Manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Experience/understanding of payroll, timekeeping and HRIS administration required. Kronos UKG highly preferred.
    • Strong MS Office required (Excel). Must be able to create, prepare, analyze, track and/or report data using Excel or other platforms. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential for this work.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills: written and verbal. Strong client service skills using a consultative approach in working with employees
    • A successful candidate will also possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, using systematic methods to perform work and also the ability to be flexible and recommend or create new work methods or procedures as needed.
    • Ability to work in cross-functional department, and engage in routine interaction with managers, supervisors and employees throughout the day.
    • Must be able to multi-task, managing multiple priorities to successful completion and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work additional hours as needed.
