TITLE: Hospital Pharmacy Sales Specialist - Upper Midwest
TERRITORY: Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. - based in Minneapolis or Milwaukee.
COMPANY: Global industry leader and manufacturer of medical devices, and injectable/IV medications used by hospital pharmacies and throughout the hospital systems.
DESCRIPTION:
- Promote sales of assigned products through territory, deepening relationships with existing accounts and new account acquisitions.
- Develop expansion market opportunities through direct involvement in presentations and consultative sales efforts with customers and internal sales partners.
- Plan and implement new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with key contacts in the hospital/IDN to include Pharmacy, Dietitians, Nursing, Physicians, Administrators and Supply Chain Executives, etc. to leverage selling opportunities.
- Maintain & build a pipeline to achieve 100% of sales quota.
- Contract management and negotiation skills
- Working knowledge of GPOs, IDNs, and Distributors.
- Compare competitive proposals, offer consultative solutions, and develop contracts for customers.
- Develop expansion market opportunities through direct involvement in presentations and consultative sales efforts with customers and internal sales teams.
- Serve as a clinical resource to customers and peers.
- Communicate comprehensive and efficient hospital reports to management as directed.
- Launch new products and expand market share.
- Maintain relationships with internal departments, i.e., Enterprise, Marketing, Technical Services, Customer Service, Operations, QA, IT, HR and Finance.
- Maintain weekly expense reports.
- Maintain accurate customer records and follow up, along with customer contact information electronically in Saleforce.com or other database programs.
- Respond in a timely manner to all communications; written, voice-mail and e-mail.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years Hospital sales experience with consultative device or service (NOT traditional pharma)
- Completed 4 year college degree.
- Computer skills and familiarity with video selling
- Ability to travel within territory
- Clean driving record.
COMPENSATION:
Base salary depending on experience around 70k, plus uncapped commissions of $40k at plan($110k total), paid quarterly + health/dental + company car + expenses + communications package + 401k.
