The Data Architect is a key technical resource responsible for understanding a diverse data landscape and designing/developing data solutions that support the strategic goals of Landmark Credit Union.  The Data Architect will have strong experience in data modeling, relational database design, ETL processing, and data visualization.  This person must be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision.

1. Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to define requests, scope, and requirements.

2. Design data solutions that align to strategic direction, meet project goals, and minimize risk.

3. Create documentation per project and organization standards.

4. Participate in the estimating of projects and support work.

5. Participate in defining data development processes and tools.

6. Lead research efforts and recommend new data technologies that align to business strategy.

7. Lead and/or facilitate solution design activities.

8. Provide clear and timely communication on issues, risks, and changes to the development team and stakeholders.

9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills Required Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field and 7 years of experience developing data solutions (e.g. ETL, data visualization, analytics); or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
2. 3+ years of experience designing, modeling, and building databases and data structures.
3. 3+ years of experience working with Data Warehouses (Dimensional model preferred).
4. 3+ years of relational database engine optimization (e.g. execution plan investigation, indexing).
5. Knowledge of .NET framework and the C# language as a data tool.
6. Solid analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
7. 1+ year experience using git for source control.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Experience working in an iterative delivery process.
10. Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position.  Must understand and comply with all job related State and Federal laws and regulations.
