    JOB SUMMARY
    Work with general supervision and as a team player to perform routine drafting and limited solid modeling for mechanical, electrical and/or electronic components using both 3D and 2D CAD software packages and word processing for support documents. Apply knowledge and skills of procedures and techniques to create and modify documents that form a technical data package.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Generate new documents and revise existing documents for mechanical, electrical and/or electronic components and support documents. Perform occasional solid modeling for new designs and to support changes to existing designs.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training. Post high school education is a plus. Mechanical, electrical and/or electronic drafting, dimensioning and tolerancing and solid modeling required. Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M and ASME Y14.100 is desired. Mechanical, electrical and/or electronic design knowledge is preferred.

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    Prior experience of mechanical, electrical and/or electronic component drafting and personal computer using Word and Excel is required. Prior knowledge of SolidWorks and PDMWorks is desired.

    PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

    Extensive sitting at desk reading computer screen and drawings. Vision abilities required include close, distance and peripheral along with depth perception. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, reach, walk, and ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to move/lift objects and occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force. Ability to work under time pressure is necessary and willing to work long hours if required. Ability to work independently and as a team player.

    Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $28.22/hr. - $42.35/hr.
