    JOB SUMMARY Assists the Vice President, Business Development in developing the organization's overall marketing plan, and executes and directs the marketing of company Thermal products and/or services.

    In concert with senior management, develops overall marketing strategy and tactics in order to capture targeted programs and achieve company business goals and objectives.  Recommends changes in marketing philosophy and policy when such changes serve the best interest of the organization.  Continually evaluates the timely adjustment of marketing strategies and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.  Provides marketing advice and guidance to various operating units to ensure overall marketing effectiveness.  Provides forecasts of new business contracts awards for inclusion into the company's financial plan.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as primary marketing interface with new customers and / or new programs with existing customers.  Identifies new business opportunities and coordinates company activities, to include lead responsibility for Thermal proposal preparation, to win these accounts.  Responsible for supporting the development of the strategic plan and for providing input for the independent research and development (IRAD) plan.

    WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (TMS) INCLUDES ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEMS (ECS), VAPOR CYCLE SYSTEMS (VCS), LIQUID AND AIR COOLING SYSTEMS (LCS), AIR CYCLE SYSTEMS (ACS), AIR MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (AMS) IS A PLUS”.

    1.  Targets and develops new business opportunities and customers.

    2. Assures that potential customers are fully aware of the company's technical and management capabilities. 

    3. Conducts research, information gathering, and analysis and provides input for marketing strategies, sales projections, and profit estimates.

    4. Develops tailored business / proposal strategies designed to maximize the company's chances of securing the targeted program(s).

    5. Serves as the focal point for all new Thermal business proposal activities.

    6. Supervises and coordinates the development and production of sales literature and advertising with company graphics arts and PR personnel.

    7. Uses and coordinates personnel from other departments (Engineering, Contracts, Operations and Pricing), as well as outside consultants and representatives, to assist in company marketing efforts.

    8. Provides inputs for the annual budget for the Marketing function.

    9. Regularly prepares reports of annual awards and sales forecasts for inclusion in the company's financial plan.

    10. Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

    MUST BE A US PERSON:  US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident

    EDUCATION Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S./BSc) from four-year College or university.  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business preferred.  Post-graduate marketing courses desirable.  MBA preferred. 

    Minimum 5 years' experience in Department of Defense marketplace working for a prime or major subcontractor as a marketing manager, program manager or technical salesman.  10 years U.S. and International marketing with Program Management/Engineering background preferred.  U.S. citizenship required; must be eligible to obtain DoD security clearance.
