Job Summary:

Under the Intermediate Informatics Developers design.build and maintain the applications, in/1 astructure, tools, and practices that enable access to and analysis of BI and Analytics information. They adhere to all administrative policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and stability of data management/collection processes. They consult with and advise users of the Business Intelligence applications. They prepare activity and progress reports related to these efforts.

Essential Functions:
Participates in and can perform all functions required of an Associate Bl Informatics Developer.
Identifies, analyzes, defines and documents Bl/Analytics customer and BI Application Specialists business requirements. Ensure that business requirements can be satisfied by the most efficient and effective architectural solutions.
Collaborates with DA2 Management, Application Specialists and the IS Data
Warehouse team to leverage existing Informatics and Data Warehouse architecture. Ensure the effective integration of Informatics development projects into existing Informatics and Data Warehouse architecture.
Assists in architecting of the Informatics environment its design, performance, availability, and success, including ETL, data warehouse/data marts, and Web-based data maintenance applications.
Participates in the design and maintenance of the Database Management System (DBMS) including data modeling, extraction, cleansing, aggregation, transformation and validating the data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Participates in the designs, documentation and development of the Informatics data maintenance application framework including Web-based and Client/Server data maintenance forms, databse integration and application security.

Analyzes data to determine its accuracy according to business needs and works with other Data Warehouse developers and customers to diagnose and fix any inaccurate data.
Develops and maintains database driven web applications and Windows applications.

INTERMEDIATE INFORMATICS DEVELOPER REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 3 years full life cycle experience in building a Database Management system.
Proven success developing reporting solutions and applications to meet business needs
Knowledge of data warehousing / business intelligence best practices and techniques
Understanding of ETL processes and how to design and develop and implement well integrated processes
3 years experience with Microsoft web technologies in the Visual Studio .Net environment (C#, VBA, ASP.Net, web services, XML, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, CSS) and/or Client Server Database Applications (MS Access, Filemaker Pro, etc.)
3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL or similar Structured Query Language with an emphasis in stored procedure development
Strong communication (verbal and presentation) skills necessary to be effective communicating at all levels of the organization

Education/ Training/ Experience:
Bachelor degree strongly preferred, although two year degree candidates and candidates with demonstrated competencies and work experience will be considered
A minimum of 2 years in healthcare planning, operations, or managed care is preferred
Expertise in database and application development tools is required (ASP.NET, Javascript, CSS, SQL Server, SWL, MS Access)
Communicate effectively in verbal, written and electronic formats with co-workers, supervisors, department heads and all customers using appropriate terminology and grammar
Highly proficient with a variety of information systems technologies is desirable; desktop applications (MS word, excel, PowerPoint) databases (MS Access)
